I start every single project with sketching. For this one I sketched non-stop.

Niki wanted something with modern look, but have a old or vintage feel or as she put it: 'hipsteresque.'

As you can see, to the left, her three original custom choices. I was inspired by many different vintage logo styles. The challenge was that they had to work really small, and watermark well. Older logo styles just have too much information and detail in them.

In the end, I came up with the idea of using her actual signature with the dot of the 'i' as a camera. It watermarks well and really became a much more personal identity than the original three.
